ATTITUDE: We’ll assume a person is speaking about an attitude the horse has that isn’t the best. There’s always a cause for this and I’d search to find out what it was, through feel. When the horse is first starting out, his attitude is more or less on survival. Self-preservation causes his attitude to be as it is on the start. A poor attitude can show up if the horse isn’t properly handled. When it does show up, then it’s up to the person to see what caused it.
Generally speaking, if it was left up to the horse, he would be out eating grass on the hill and not any place around where a person is, and that word wouldn’t even come up. He might decide to kick or bite another horse out there, but that would be between them.
If he were left alone, why, the horse wouldn’t have a bad attitude towards a human.
